Owning the Tool Isn’t the Same as Mastering It
Hands-on training in Spotfire, statistics, and AI, from Lucid Analytics.
Most organisations don’t have a technology problem. The platforms are in place, dashboards are live, an “AI initiative” sits somewhere on the roadmap. Yet the value stays just out of reach. A Spotfire licence doesn’t make a team statistically literate. A machine-learning library doesn’t teach anyone which question is worth asking.
Closing that gap, between the tools a company has and the skills to use them, is what the Lucid Analytics Training Center is for.
From deliverables to durable skills
Lucid Analytics is known as a statistics and data-science partner: the people you bring in to design the analysis, build the model, validate the pipeline. That work isn’t going anywhere. But increasingly, partners want something that outlasts a single project: they want their own people to be able to do it next time. So we turned the way we work into something we can teach. Same practitioners, same rigour, now pointed at your team.
Our flagship: real statistics out of digital tools
Let’s take one example out of the various digital tools we are using : Spotfire is one of the most capable analytics platforms in life sciences and manufacturing, and one of the most underused. In most teams it’s a visualisation tool: filters, colour-by, a tidy dashboard for Monday. The real engine is the layer most users never touch: statistical and predictive modelling through R and Python data functions, multivariate methods like PCA and PLS for high-dimensional process and assay data, and automation through IronPython. Done right, Spotfire stops being a place to look at data and becomes a place to analyse it.
That’s the leap we train teams to make. We start wherever your people are and take them to genuine statistical work inside the platform they already own.
Beyond Spotfire
The curriculum spans the path from raw data to defensible decision: statistics & biostatistics (study design, regression, longitudinal and survival analysis, and telling a significant result from a meaningful one); AI & machine learning (practical model building, honest validation, explainability, and knowing when not to reach for it); and digitalisation (turning manual, spreadsheet-bound workflows into reproducible pipelines).
What sets us apart is simple. We’re practitioners, not lecturers: everything comes from real projects in regulated, high-stakes settings. And wherever possible we train on your data, so people leave able to apply it on Monday, not just recall it. Formats flex from half-day workshops to multi-day courses and ongoing mentoring, on-site or remote.
Let’s talk about what your people could do next
The tools are already on the desk. The real question is what your team can do with them. That’s a conversation we’d love to have.
